I've had my lithium level checked twice and levels Doc said were fine. He told me to take Mylanta 1/2 hour before every meal and tagament or something like that at bedtime.... between work, parenting and trying to keep my head straight nothing is done on schedule. I dont want my day to be run around avoiding stomach pain (and mylanta is not the best cocktail)
I just dont know, it sucks because it has leveled me out and I feel better (mentally and emotionally) then I have in over a year, but this is brutal.
> If you are vomitting it might be a sign that you are toxic and you should get your levels ASAP. But since you said that if you eat something before taking it, it help. Can you just make sure you take it after two of your meals? If you take it after food do you still get all the stomach symptoms?

So the first you should do is find out if your levels are okay and then take it from there. I wasn't able to handle lithium. I was always toxic and throwing up. I finally just gave up on it.
