I have not tried Celexa but Lexapro has been great for depression and anxiety for me. For quite a time anxiety was my primary problem and I was monotherapy with Klonopin for three years. My status changed and I (kicking and screaming) decided to try another AD. Previous trials of other SSRI's had not gone well and my anxiety seem to actually increase. Lexapro has been good to me and benzo use has decreased to the point where I no longer really need it for anxiety control.

Everyone's different, but if Celexa isn't helping, Lex may be worth a try.
