I was a complete amnesiac for that night and I think I will avoid this drug. Ambien does not have me react this way and I get no tolerance or addiction problems. I thought to put the lunesta pill into a gel cap might stop the taste from getting on my tounge but that didn't work. I equate 3-4mg. to about 10mg. Diazepam, just my estimate.Well it just goes to show everyone reacts differently to these meds...my reaction was the opposite of yours in that Ambien created a problem for me. I could barely remember what I had done under the influence of the drug...I do recall that if I stayed up, I would start to hallucinate. In my case it had a much higher potential for abuse than Lunesta...guess that's why you're supposed to take it AS PRESCRIBED. As for the bad taste, the only thing I can remember taking that left a bad taste in my mouth was Xanax...come to think of it I haven't noticed it as much since I started taking the extended-release formulation.
