> Can you drink while on nardil? I've read that you can drink domestic beer. What about whiskey, vodka, rum, or maybe everclear(pretty much pure alcohol 190 proof) with mixed with something? Is it the alcohol that causes the reaction?

It's the tyramine-- a byproduct of alcohol fermentation (yeast)-- that can cause a reaction. It really depends on the type of alcohol (degree of fermentation) and the degree to which tyramine effects you (differs from person to person).

Generally, stay away from rum, dark beer, tap beer, wine, etc.

Beer kept in glass is better, since the glass absorbs some of the tyramine.
