my pdoc has had a lot of experience with Wellbutrin and reports that unless a patient is willing to give it at least a 2-3 week trial, you really won't know if it will pass. In his estimation, about 2/3 of his patients who reported intial side effects of anxiety on the medication find that it is not a problem after this period passes. Personally, this echoes my own experience with the drug.

Additionally, for every subsequent dose increase, you will most likely have a similar adjustment period [but not as long as the need for aclimatizing to the initial titration]. He recommends starting low if you are senstive -- 37.5 - 75 mg twice daily. He also believes the SR and XL version are superior to the immediate release version...I personally prefer the XL version.
