Risperdal for anxiety?

Hi everyone, has anybody been prescribed this for anxiety, and has it worked? My SO just got prescribed this and I'm concerned because it seems to mostly be prescribed for bipolar. She has been taking Prozac + Effexor and it works pretty well in that her anxiety "spells" (hypochondriac variety + OCD) seem farther apart... but she still does get them, and once she starts down the road to obsessing it is very difficult for her to stop.

So now her Doc just took her off the Effexor and is goign to put her on this Risperdal stuff, but I'm getting a little leery of some of the side effects I've seen. Looking for some folks out there to tell me what their experiences have been for using it to treat GAD.
