hey! The experimentation thing doesn't bother some docs, and really, really bothers others. One I had would always irritate b/c I'd try something...for example, I took Ambien or Sonata (I forget which one) with seroquel b/c the seroquel gave me hellish nightmares which an add-on sedative seemed to relieve. My doc's response? Don't do that. Fast forward 2 weeks--I'm not sleeping well, I'm having nightmares...what does the doc recommend? Ambien+Seroquel. I was floored.
