There is probably some very deep answers to that one - some involving the various neurochemicals and areas of the brian - and some that we just don't know why. But, I choose to think it's the very complex and interconnectedness of the brain processes involved: thoughts, feelings, mood, preceptions. So, there are overlapping actions when it comes to psych meds.
