In reply to Seroquel?, posted by tygereyes on January 15, 2005, at 15:24:21

I was on Seroquel for a couple of years. I think I was on a fairly hefty dose though. I gained a lot of weight - but as I say I was on a fairly hefty dose and I am quite sensitive to gaining weight with medications. I believe it changed my metabolism rather than my appetite. I have had a Dr tell me that that was rubbish, that it must have altered my eating habits, but I don't believe him :-)

I was also on Imovane at the time so I am not sure about it in relation to sleep.

I would think the risk for Tardive D would be fairly low. That was more to do with the 'older' anti-psychotics and so the newer ones have a reduced risk. Also you are on a low amount. Also that tends to develop in people who have been on the medication for quite a few years.

I found the medication to be helpful.
Hope it works out for you.
