Dexadrine had the worst crash in my daughter - she became very aggressive. None of the long acting psychostims were as good for attention; she needed the upswing of the dosing curve for a good effect. Ritalin LA didn't work well, Concerta not as well as plain Ritalin, but we had to dose Ritalin every 3-4 hours and taper her down in the afternoons with 1/2, then 1/4 tab to avoid the afternoon crash. Some people do well with a single, low dose of Ritalin in the AM to get them on track. It's very individual. At my daughter's LD school, kids were on every medication, dose, frequency, combo that you can think of.

Good luck!
