speedy-trippy feeling

Posted by whoami on December 31, 2004, at 10:59:18

The doc says I have psychotic depression or schizo-affective. I take 120 mg Geodon daily. I had a psychotic break about 2 months ago, took Risperdal for two weeks and Geodon since then.

I started dosing once a day, at night, with the Geodon, but noticed a "speedy-trippy" feeling in the afternoon and evening, so I started to take a 40 mg mid-morning dose and the feeling went away. The past two days, I put off the morning dose and the feeling came back. About an hour and a half after I dose Geodon, it goes away, but if I don't take my Geodon, the trip lasts all day. I kid you not, my pupils dilate and I feel like I'm on an acid trip. The feeling is not entirely unpleasant, but it makes me wonder. Is this the effect of Geodon dropping low, or is the psychosis coming back? I feel like I might be playing with fire, and am troubled by the thought that I'm only a pill away from insanity. Even after two months of successful treatment, can I still be this far gone?
