It's my understanding that serotonin syndrome starts very quickly. So the symptoms may not be those of SS.
However, if they started as soon as the dose was increased to 25mg Lex., it's a possibility that the higher dose could cause SS. If you are at all, worried take DH to the doctor right away.
Also, the symptoms you describe are common side-effects to Lexapro. I had them myself, to Celexa (Lexapro's drug cousin).
It's so hard to know, when S/E's have similar symptoms to SS!
Again, check with your doctor.
