Once off Effexor, do people need to reuse?

Posted by sfe on December 6, 2004, at 18:13:07

I am one of the unfortunate people who are going through the terrible symptoms of Effexor withdrawl. I decided to go cold turkey (probably not the best idea, today being day two, but determined) and am about to lose my mind. My head is aching, I feel like I am going to throw up, I am jittery and have vertigo.
I've been on 75 mg for almost 2 years and feel like I might be ok without the meds and would like to try to live without them. I have mild depression.
I am afraid that once I finally get free of Effexor, I will become depressed again and need to go through the horrible side effects of getting back on it.
I'd like some feed back on if people find that they need to get back on it after some period of time being off.
