Some studies have shown it to be more effective for depression than Prozac. But nortriptyline has potentially harsher side effects including constipation.

On the other hand, Prozac is worse for sexual side effects.

I have not seen very much information on drug studies that differentiate between depression, anhedonia, and dysthymia. It seems like they almost always study "depression" and they like to use the HAM-D scores.
