I find "grey" better than black,
and certainly better than red, or
different colours hitting you at the
same time altogether like a kaleidoscope.

I hate taking drugs. I have asked
my dr. if i could stop. Nope. And when
i did try on my own, it was very hard
and impossible.

From what i read and from friends's experience,
i think we need a good drug with no
side effects for all affective disorders.

In the meantime, the one with the least
side effects is the best you can hope for.

I rely on authority and take it on faith
that the drugs are not withdrawn on account
of the underlying disease looming up.

But I have read Dr. Mogens Schou (see
his brochure on the Practical Guide to
Manic Depression) and others
and that is not necessarily the case - at least
that was not how affective disorders were
viewed 50 yrs. ago. Few really wants
to take a risk with the side effects of
discontinuation being so awful and protracted
in some cases.
