Over the max. dosage of AD

I saw both my regular pdoc (a resident) and her boss (attending physician) today. We decided I would start taking 70 mg. of Marplan. The maximum is supposed to be 60. Has anyone else gone past the max of an AD, esp. an MAOI? Has it helped?
