My doctor and I are trying to figure out if I'm borderline schizophrenic or psychotically depressed. One word: Geodon. My life has been turned around by this antipsychotic. It has worked wonders for cognitive problems, disorganized thought, paranoia, depression, and anxiety. I have a serious dopamine problem I think. The only thing with Geodon is that about two months into taking it I became pretty sedated, and I am now about to try Provigil to help this. In my case I have tried Abilify at 15mg, but I got akathisia and had to stop. It did not work at that dose for my symptoms, but I am thinking also of maybe trying it again at lower dose, because of the lower incidence of sedation. Possibly it might work at lower dose for me. I would check out both Geodon and Abilify.
