I am sorry to hear about your son. I have suffered from OCD since I was a child. I have found some relief from antidepressant medication over the years. Recently,I have had a reoccurence of my OCD. My doctor is concerned that I might have Rapid Cycling Bipolar. In treating the Bipolar with a mood stabilizer as well as an SSRI antidepressant for the OCD, I have found some relief from the obsessive thinking. I am wondering if the mania has contributed to my obsessive thinking. I feel as if they are somehow connected. I am still being evaluated. Has the doctor considered rapid cycling bipolar in addition to the OCD.
