> About a month ago I tapered off of Effexor with great success. Not many side effects at all (I was only on 37.5 mg). The first 3 weeks were fine and I was surprised at how normal I felt. That is, until the moodiness started about 2 weeks ago. I have been anxious most of the time with a few bouts of just sadness for no reason. I am also PMSing. I have spoken with my Dr about this and he suggested that I go back on Effexor because he saw that I felt better on it than off. I am skeptical whether I really need it or if it is just a phase from going off of it. Any suggestions?

Hi jjamas,

What were the reasons you went off of it to begin with? Was it not doing enough or did you think that you didn't need it anymore? Could something else possibly help you more?
