I know exactly how you feel. I usually get it when I wake up and sometime in the evening. Without telling you my whole story I will just say that my personal belief is that it is med induced. I never felt any such sensation like an inexlicable fear before I went on meds. Now that I have come off them and am still going through withdrawals I certainly hope it subsides as my brain normalizes. It really is weird because it comes out of nowhere and there is no reason for it and it is very disconcerting. Anyways, you're not alone. I, like you, share the same sort of curiousity as to what would cause it. I'll NEVER go back on a med to quell it seeing that I think they cause it, but knowing what it is and maybe addressing through more natural means would be a big help to me.

> Does anyone else experience this? I wake up kind of anxious feeling but not so bad I can't deal with it. It can either get a little better or stay about the same but then maybe about 2 oclock I notice I am feeling more and more scared. Not worried about stuff - just this physical *fear* in my chest and stomach. It peaks around 3 or 4 pm, sometimes a little later and then slowly gets better. By bedtime I feel almost okay.
