I am in a very similar position to you. We do have some differences. I know for a fact I am not Bi polar. I don't have High's at all.

The wellbutrin xr has defenetly lifted me, but it has also raised my anxiety. Wellbutrin works with norepinephrine and dopimene. Both of these hormones or nurons or what ever you call them in my experience and according to the definitions on the net are "upers" if you will.

I am not thinking I have ADD. I've been studying for law school exam and as always I can't concentrate. I looked up on the net the symptoms and it describes me to the letter.

It talked about organization, concentration etc.. I can get 100 things done at one time, I am very bad about concentrating and organization. I pay a maid to clean my house, do my laundry, organize my stuff. If I was not fortunate to pay, I don't think my desk would look as neat as it does.

So now we are working with dopimene. We are doing this for pleasure, concentration and motivation I think. I tried strattera, concerta and now Desidrene.

I think my mind is really un organized and sort of racey thoughts. I am also fidigity. My p-doc does not think I have ADD but i never been tested either. I am getting myself tested in 10 days on my own.

However my p-doc lumps add or adhd with depression and anxiety. With this philospohy he is treating it anyway rather we agree on it or not.

So here's my point. Don't get wrapped up in what you have. Focus on your symptoms. Set your priorities. Only set 2 priorities.

In other words, let's say you have energy, concentration, OCD, anxiety isues. Only choose the two most important.

When you visit your p-doc inform him you want to work on energy first, or concentration first. After the priority is treated, then work on the next one.

I made the mistake of treating anxiety first. They used seritonin types. All were sedating, made me forget, in other words I lost my edge.

I prefer to be razor sharp and desire to place anxiety on the low priority list now. I went through a anxiety recovery clinic which helped allot.

In summary if you give your p-doc too many objectives you may not get ahead because different priorities may cancel each other out.
