My son was on 20mg for 1 year (schiz). We asked the Dr. to reduce dosage to see if weight problem improved. He went from 20 to 15 to 10 and then to 7.5 mg. He was already losing weight at 7.5 mg. Unfortunately after a few days his Psychosis began to appear again. He is back on 15 mg now and OK. At least we knocked off 5 mg. He is back to eating frequently though. I think 10 mg may be possible or at least 12.5 mg. Heads up to those who are sensitive, Zyprexa can cause difficulty swallowing also.
