I have been taking Provigil 200mg for over a month now. My doc also gave me Effexor 75mg. I have tried many antidepresents before and most have either made me extremely sleepy, anxious or didn't do anything.
I felt immedialtely "speedy" with Provigil the first two weeks. I was grinding my jaw, my head tingled and yet I felt exhausted. The Effexor which I take at the same time counters the Provigil effect a bit (I guess).
After the two week period I mentioned I no longer felt anything. I went back for a checkup and the doc told me to take 2 of the Provigil, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I must be weird cause I am sleepy all the time and I don't mean regular sleepy. I mean I can fall asleep anywhere anytime. Are they sure that they are marketing this product correctly? (ha)
I work in IT and sit at my computer all day long and so it is important that I stay focused and this is why I was prescribed Provigil. The effexor was prescribed for anxiety and chronic low-grade depression.
Anyone else had a reaction to this degree? Maybe Vallium or Ativan will keep me alert?
