Difference btw. GAD and SAD? Similar?

Posted by jerimycoplo on May 5, 2004, at 12:24:09

I was wondering what the difference from the neurotransmitter point of view would be between gad and sad. I mean they are somewhat similar but seem to still be related. You would think that meds that help generalized anxiety also help social anxiety? Is that true? Is there a a difference in brain structure/neurochemistry/ theory that separates sad from generalized anxiety disorder?

thanks
jc
