Of course, I have no idea whether you really need it or not. I'm glad you are showing an appropriate concern for your medical treatment so as to post your questions here. However, be aware that we are not doctors and that we do not possess all of the information about your condition that would be necessary to grant any reliable advice. What I am hearing from you is that no one is paying attention to your need and right to understand the treatment you are receiving and are not being allowed to participate in the decisions that affect your life. You need to feel confident that you are being listened to and treated properly. If you are concerned that your diagnosis of ADD was not arrived at properly, then you might want to ask to be tested. That is a perfectly reasonable and adult thing to do.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any recommendation for persons under age 18. I find your approach in these matters to be very intelligent. If you are concerned with this dosing schedule, you should voice your concerns to your doctor. He would then be better able to explain to you his prescribing decisions and allow you to be confident that you are being cared for properly. Wellbutrin does come in 100mg tablets.

Dosing with WELLBUTRIN SR Tablets should begin at 150 mg/day given as a single daily dose in the morning. If the 150-mg initial dose is adequately tolerated, an increase to the 300-mg/day target dose, given as 150 mg twice daily, may be made."

> Well, obviously she cares enough about you and your future to try to give you what she feels you need. Of course she cares about your grades! She cares about everything else too. In her own way, she is doing the very best she can for you. Parenting is difficult, and takes a lot of time and energy. Sometimes there isn't enough left over for healthy communication. It might be necessary for you to take the initiative in order to improve communication. Perhaps you can ask to set aside some time specifically for having a conversation about your concerns and how you feel about the way you are being treated. Of course, the catch is that you must allow your mother the same opportunity. This can be a good thing. Maybe you could write her a letter.

> Since I don't know the first thing about you, I wouldn't know how much work you have ahead of you. Take advantage of your youth. Assert yourself, but keep an open mind to the ideas of others. You can keep what you like and toss out the rest. Take your time, though. There is no need to rush most decisions. Be the architect of your own happiness. Search for and use the recourses that are available to you to build your future while enjoying the present. Entertain the possibility, however remote <smile>, that your parents are smart and know a few things worthwhile listening to and learning from. Hopefully, you can teach them to do the same for you.

I'm 15. i tried writing her a letter before, but she took it the wrong way and got angry with me. i expressed my concerns to her and all that she said is that i have to take it. we are at odds because of a few things. i do feel i have less anxiety than i did before i started taking the drugs. and yeah, they told me that i have major depression too. no, well, they said it was gone for the most part now, but i have horrible mood swings sometimes. my doctor says that that happens though.
