I've had initial insomnia all my life & developed hypersomnia when I got depression. Remeron sedated me extremely well for awhile. I'd watch TV for the 30 minutes it took to absorb the tablet & then I would go to bed & not even remember rolling over once. My bed use to look like animals had slept in it, now I sleep like a log & wake up refreshed & no longer feel like I need a afternoon nap. 15mg was perfect for 8 hours sleep, I'm on 30mg & it is making me sleep 9 hours unfortunately. I need 30mg to couteract nausea from Effexor otherwise I would still be on 15mg. I also developed tolerence to the stoned/sedating feeling from the Histamine blockade & don't feel forced to go to bed, but I still go to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow & I wake feeling pretty good & happy.
