It may...

--Effexor made my heart race (it was also not very effective) It also raised my blood pressure..Nardil lowered my blood pressure, at one time it was 90/70...I experienced postural hypotension during the first couple of weeks.

-- I have taken Parnate... It was more stimulating than Nardil. I noticed a definite "stimulation" about 30 min after taking it (I took 40mg)..I feel a similar effect with Nardil (60mg), but it is far less stimulating, and feels more similar to a relaxed mild stimulation (borderline euphoria ...more similar to a MDMA feeling)

...also, Nardil and Parnate do not differ in enzyme selectivity, however, Parnate has some direct catecholamine stimulating properties whereas Nardil increases GABA levels.
