Hey, It took me almost 8 weeks to really have the full benefits of Lexapro. I just added Wellbutrin this last week. I feel a lot better already too. the reason is that Lexapro and Wellbutrin are such a good pair together. one has what the other lacks. you could try after a while to lower your lex dose and see if that makes a difference. I think you should wait at least 4 weeks on wellbutrin though to see how this all goes and then maybe cut back on Lex.
Hi, you may still be on Lex, since it may take the Wellbutrin 4-6 weeks to become totally effective, and for you to have full concentration levels of it in your body. It's awesome your feeling better after 5 days. It's just a guide the doc's go by to make sure that antidepressants are working or not. Maybe your doc will look at taking you off the Lex once he or she is certain that the Wellbutrin is working well for you?
