Wow, that is strange because I too experienced severe itching to the point where I would be up all night scratching like crazy. I really thought it was just dry skin - never even thought it was a side effect of effexor. If it is any consolation though - I have been on effexor since September and my itching has finally subsided about a month ago. Hopefully it is gone for good. So maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you as well. In the meantime, I was using Eucerin moisturizer and that seemed to help a great deal.
