I just quit topomax because it was completely screwing up my skin in about a billion ways (I'm starting to understand that is pretty typical), and my doctor had me on it pretty much only because I liked the weight loss and he figured it couldn't hurt, but it didn't actually do me any good in the mood stabilization department--that's what the latest news on it is saying too. It doen't work for most people. Made me lose words, see stars.....it was poison to me, really , but I stuck with it for 6 montha because I wanted the weight loss, which stopped working anyway (I mean, the appetite suppressant part of it). I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone, But I didn't get any headaches while I was on it!

I am looking to use it for mood stabilizing, keep me from getting migraines, and hopefully lose some weight in the process. I do have high blood pressure though and am wondering if that will be a factor. So I go to see my shrink on Friday and want to ask him about maybe going on this so any feedback anyone can give me about their experiences with it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you are taking it with any antidepressants, does it interfere or call problems?
