Lamictal stimulation

Posted by Emme on January 31, 2004, at 14:03:51

Hi. I think I posted about this before but i can't remember and didn't find it when I searched. So here goes. I think something I'm taking may be causing an increased pulse. My primary care physician isn't concerned about it because it's not out of the normal range. No underlying problems. Normal thyroid. Anyway I'd be more comfortable if I could simmer down just a little.

Lamictal 350,
clonazepam variable, not over 1 mg
atenolol 25 mg
sporadic use of selegiline (5-10 mg)

The increased pulse is present even when not taking selegiline. All logic points to Lamictal, but I can't find anything in the prescribing info or other info sites about any increase in heart rate. Anyone else have this? Perhaps this is just the way my body is handling the stimulating effects this drug can have on some people?

Thanks.
Emme
