Hi K,

I have a long history with Prozac although I've been on many different anti-depressants, I seem to always end up going back to it. I tried the Lexapro last year on my Pdoc's advice. I am bipolarII and was a bit stimulated on the Prozac (also currently take Lamictal) I was looking for a calmer AD at that time. I liked it initially, but after about 3-4 months I started developing this terrible "brain fog" like I was thinking through a cloud. It was very hard to concentrate and I even felt confused. I finally came to the conclusion that it was the Lexapro causing this (though my doctor was not convinced) I decided to switch to Prozac. I still have other problems regarding my swinging moods but no more brain fog. For me, the Lexapro was the culprit.
