BP2 depression treatment

I think I might have bipolar II depression. I have had very little success with anti-depressants. They either don't work, make me worse, or only work for a very short time. A couple of days, up to a couple of weeks. I don't understand how bipolar depression is treated. Do I take a mood stabilizer with the anti-depressants, then they suddenly start working?
