Strattera worked well as a mood-lifter for me for a few months, and I found it quite relaxing (I was taking it for ADD). Then it just stopped working, so I discontinued it. However, it does seem like a promising med and well worth a try.

A couple of cautions:

1) Increase the dose gradually -- it does have side effects like nausea, dry mouth, etc. for many people. These can be minimized by starting at around 25 mg/day and going up to the typical target dose of about 80 mg/day in increments of 20-25 mg every couple of weeks or so. Don't let your doctor move you up to a high dose too quickly -- some will want to do that.

2) I don't generally have stomach problems, but found that Strattera was likely to cause nausea and/or heartburn if taken on an empty stomach or with coffee.

Good luck!
