Seroquel is pretty infamous for causing weight gain. It probably plays the major role in impairing sexual desire, as well.

Lamictal could negatively affect sexual desire as well, but I personally found its effects much less powerful and pervasive than Seroquel (which I hated and no longer take).

Maybe you could just take the Seroquel on an as-needed basis, since it is relatively fast-acting.

Dealing with a mental illness and medication side-effects is very difficult, and you need the support of your husband. Some kind of couples counseling might help a lot with your communication.
