My Turn

Posted by T_R_D on November 24, 2003, at 17:46:58

Well, now that I've posted to some other folks' stories I'm going to add my own.

I feel like CRUD. I have just started Tegretol but after a couple of days, in combination with Wellbutrin and Celexa I started to enter the stratosphere (HELLOOO MANIA!!!) I was half way to Mars when my doc told me to drop the Celexa. I didn't realize it (don't know why...just never occurred...) but Celexa has withdrawal properties. I just went through this with Effexor (for the second time!) a few months ago... When can I get off the merry-go-round?

I think the change in treatment (i.e. anticonvulsants) is the way to go...I'm convinced that I was misdiagnosed as unipolar and am most certinaly bipoar II (or somewhere in the spectrum...) As soon as I started the Tegretol it was somehow *different*...unlike any AD/combo I've ever tried in the past.

Having been here before I know "it's just a matter of time" but do you (anyone else who's been here) get sick and tired of waiting? ARGH!

Yours in frustration,
Karen

PS - Gonna have to email my sister...she started taking Celexa a month or two before me...she is not going to be pleased LOL!
