> Hi there, I am new here and new to Lamictal and Seroquel. I have experienced chronic depression all of my life and do not respond well to SSRI's or other antidepressants (I get hypomanic). My mother was bipolar and the Dr. thinks I may have bipolarII with main symptom being depression. I started on Lamictal and could not sleep and I am talking about being wide awake all night. It was awful. So, he added 25mg of seroquel. I am sleeping like a baby. I am terrified of constipation (I have irritable bowel syndrome with constipation as predominant problem) and I also DO NOT want to gain any weight. The lamictal is 25mg too. I am very sensitive to medications so I want to keep the doses as low as possible. Did any of you experience constipation and/or weight gain on low doses of these meds??
> Thanks so much, Tiss

**Hi,
No, I haven't experienced weight gain on either of these. I take Seroquel periodically for sleep (like 6mg). I'm at 100mg of lam. No depression lift yet.
