I have been taking lithium for seven years in addition to antidepressants and have tolerated it well. I have been unable to lose weight and wonder if this is the med most responsible. Where I work the psychopharmacologists never prescribe lithium due to long term side effects. I sometimes think about trying one of the others but hear they also cause weight gain and other secondary symptoms. What do you think?
