For a brief period in '97, I had to go to 50 mg. to get the stuff moving along and my depression was very bad then. But last year, even with depression that had me immobilized, I was happy to see it fade at just 40 mg. I guess I feel the way I do about Parnate the way Ace feels about Nardil.

Not at all. . .the last time I had a DX was about 17 yrs ago, when I started getting depressive episodes and my pdoc called it Major Depression. But I know that my depression doesn't neatly fit the screwy categories of the DSM. I get nearly all th symptoms of Major Depression (incl.early awakening, loss of appetite and weight) but also bad anxiety and heart palpitations. So what is this? Atypical depression or not? Whatever it is, the Parnate knocks out all the symptoms.
