(which seems high to me.) i am also hypothyroid, so i'm taking synthroid for that, and recently went to an endocrinologist because i thought i might need an increase in my synthroid dosage or something. i'd been feeling increasing hypothyroid-y -- lethargic, tired, slow thinking, difficulty concentrating, major weight gain, thinning hair, etc. anyway, he gave me glucophage to start b/c he said there could be a link with my OTHER hormonal problems and my weight gain. he said insulin/blood sugar moderating meds are sometimes prescribed for that b/c insulin levels are linked to hormone levels.

I am on 450 mg of wellbutrin, 25mc of cytomel, and 20 mg of straterra (to help with the wellbutrin poop-out). I recently came off of effexor because I had the same symptoms as you do. I couldnt stay awake and I gained a lot of weight, plus I had no sex drive.
I started cytomel for slight hypothyroid which helped give me some energy. Im surprised your endo gave you synthroid (t4) because it had proven not to work as well as cytomel (t3). You may want to switch to cytomel.
Strattera is only a norepinephrine uptake inhibitor, so it could make you edgy and maybe a little depressed. I havent decided whether to stick with it myself, but I would say if your mood worsens you may want to switch to something else.
Apparently it takes a few weeks to kick in, though.
Interesting about the insulin thing. I havent heard that before.
