All I can say is that Zyprexa caused my wife EPS, and akathisia symptoms. She also gained 35 pounds. Though her doctor then wouldn't admit to any undesirable side effects, a new doctor (and plenty of articles I've read on the web) admit that eventually the weight gain can translate to diabetes, or hyperglicemia.

My wife was put on Abilify after discontinuing Zyprexa. As soon as she was off Zyprexa her EPS, and akathisia disappeared. Three weeks after Abilify she had akathisia again.

A new doctor has put my wife on Benadryl to help her sleep and to combat the Parkinson-like symptoms. Benadryl has anti-cholinergic action.

He also took her off Abilify, and advised discontinuing Serzone because of the liver-damaging possible effects. Serzone cannot be prescribed in Europe or Canada. I guess we Americans have to wait until five thousand die to stop it.

Best of luck to you,

Nickm
