I was really scared to start Lexapro, because, I, like you, had been on another AD (Effexor) for so long, and I had my doubts about beginning a new AD that I had never tried before (Lexapro).
I have a friend who is on 2.5mg of Lexapro, and some here started on 5mg, and some started on 10mg too, it just depends on what your prescribing doctor wants to do and what you and he/she agree on, dosaging wise. I started on 10mg.
Hang in there, keep posting, who knows...Lexapro may do better for you than Zoloft~hopoing the best for you!
