Hi all,
I was on 25mg.(low dose) of Strattera for about 1 month. This week pdoc doubled that. I did it for two days. Let me tell you, don't go there:
I lost my appetite completely--didn't eat for three days. I was very confused; I became paranoid. The pressure in my eyes was painful and scary (Strattera is contraindicated in glaucoma). The fatigue was overwhelming. I lost nearly a whole week and maybe almost my life. I quit Strattera entirely yesterday morning. The withdrawal was unexpectedly severe. By night, I felt as if I had popping spider veins in my head, my short-term memory was not working, I couldn't drive, and my eyes were shutting automatically. My fiance took the wheel of the car while I rode in the passenger seat. I had a sudden intense feeling that I had to jump out of my own skin and wanted to leap from the car. Almost ended up in the emergency room, something I never do.
That's it. My psyche-med, guinea-pig days are over! I don't need to lose my eye-sight and I don't need a brain hemorrage or anurism. A friend said my blood pressure might have spiked, something I have never experienced before!!!
Anyone else had these symptoms?
Mimi
