Parnate VS Nardil for depression/bipolar spectrum

Posted by bipolarspectrum on September 24, 2003, at 16:37:48

Hello all,
I suffer from depression with mild anxiety and have recently been diagnosed with bipolar mood spectrum disorder by a leading psychopharm. This supposedly explains my overreaction, in terms of side effects, to the classics antidepressants -ssri's, remeron, effexor, stimulants, st.john's. I experienced hypomania while trying wellbutrin (bupropion). I have recently began nardil and found that it helps my depression but sends me over the edge-into a hypomanic state. I am wondering whether parnate is a better choice in terms of not triggering hypomania? Anyone with similar experience?
