I was put on Effexor XR three years ago (up to 300 g/day) for a dysthymia that eveolved into a depression; It helped but only partially. My doc then put me on Remeron (30 g/day to 45 g/day). This later product really helped me but the effect lasted only a few weeks after both the 30 g and 45 g trials. For me, Remeron did not cause any side effect (sexual or otherwise) apart from the fact that it help me to fall asleep at night. Good luck. Bruno
