It depends on the doctor.

If I suggest something that my pdoc things is reasonable he will let me do it. For instance, I'm going to try to reduce my meds and he let me choose the order to reduce them (even though the order he would have chosen was different).

Based on other things I see on this board, there are other pdocs who would not be interested in your ideas.
