>Music- Your doctor should be talking with you about how long it should be before you notice the beneficial effects. Typically, I think they say you need to be on a therapeutic dose for 6 weeks to 2 months to know if it's "working". I would talk about your concerns regarding getting dependent on the medication and your desire to have children with your doctor.
