Give it at least a couple of weeks before you reconsider your dilemma! The song may change to something you like better.

I recently started on paroxetine (Seroxat / Paxil). The first two weeks were really unpleasant; I felt worse. Strong side effects despite starting on a half dose, and it actually made me feel more anxious and depressed at first, not to mention shaky, dizzy, a step behind reality... I can really sympathise with the apathy. I wanted to drink as well just to feel something - I felt detached from the world, emotionally numb, but it was a confining barrier not a comforting blanket. I couldn't even relate to my family (who I was staying with), just wanted to hide and sleep.

Then about two weeks in (a week ago), over a couple of days the effect suddenly changed and I feel better now than I have in months. My mood lifted; I feel calm rather than detached. The side effects, and the weird psychological effects, have mostly faded away.

Whether this will last I don't know, but don't assume (as I did) that the initial weirdness is the whole story. I hope the sun will rise for you as well.
