I've been using Parnate for more than 20 years and seemingly can't get satisfaction from anything else I've tried. (sounds like Mick Jagger speaking here) Of the SSRIs, I tried Zoloft and found it only partially helpful.
MAOIs work on the nervous system in a completely different way than the SSRIs and I'm sure that some experts who regularly post on this board can give you really technical details, if you're interested. Suffice it to say that Parnate is considered much more stimulating than Nardil, (although some people have complained of fatigue on Parnate, in one way or another.) In fact, most users encounter problems with insomnia while on Parnate, and need to address that side-effect with another med. I've been pretty lucky in this regard, though. I'm a big believer in MAOIs. You should do plenty of research, talk with other people on this board, and then make your decision. I do hope you'll give Parnate a try if fatigue is your problem.Good luck.
