how long for Parnate?

I've been on Parnate for 7 weeks. So far I feel nothing. I want to give it a bit more time. I'm on 60mg and I want to go up to 80 but my doctor said to stay at 60. So I'm just wondering how much longer I should give it before giving up? I want to make sure that I give it a good solid chance. Thanks.
